On 21 July 2010, Agência Portuguesa do Ambiente granted SPV, ACAP and Ambigroup authorisation to access the organised waste market to manage a trading platform.

On 23 March 2012, the platform's scope of action was extended and it is now possible to trade all waste, including hazardous waste, pursuant to an ordinance from Agência Portuguesa do Ambiente.
